These 3D printed niddy noddies are perfect for making sample skeins or for taking on holidays, the two parts come apart for flat packing. Once connected it winds a 1 meter skein, and with the extension it will make 1.5m skeins.

This Niddy Noddy was modified from the design by sarahspins under Creative Commons licence, adapted to make 1 meter loop instead of 1 yard with the additional mods of the extension parts.
